Level 1 BVLOS Complex RPAS Ground School – Starting at $2,399

Clarion Drone Academy’s foundational course in Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) operations equips professionals with critical regulatory knowledge and practical skills. Designed for complex environments, this training ensures safe, compliant drone piloting and enhances operational readiness for government, military, and industry applications.

Level 1 Complex Flight Review – Starting at $499 

Elevate your remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) expertise by completing the TP15530 Level 1 Complex Flight Review, a critical step toward obtaining your Level 1 Complex RPAS Certificate. This certification enables advanced beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and complex operations throughout Canada.
Conducted in person by certified Flight Reviewers, this comprehensive session encompasses mission planning, flight assessment, and training in emergency procedures, utilizing a Visual Observer. The review is designed for pilots who have successfully completed the Level 1 Complex (L1C) exam and are prepared to demonstrate their skills in real-world BVLOS scenarios.​

SORA OSO Course for BVLOS Mission Planning – Starting at $1699

This 16-hour, in-class course, delivered over two days, equips Transport Canada Advanced Pilot Certificate holders with skills to apply Operational Safety Objectives (OSOs) within the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) framework for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. It ensures regulatory compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs Part IX) and prepares professionals for mission planning and Transport Canada’s TP 15530E examination.

Advanced RPAS Online Training – Starting at $249

Clarion’s Advanced Knowledge Requirements TC EXAM PREP Course is designed to help prepare student pilots with the practical and essential theory needed to write the online Transport Canada RPAS exam for Advanced categories.

The Training is in compliance with Transport Canada’s TP 15263E – Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, 250 g up to and including 25 kg. Operating within Visual Line-of-Sight (VLOS)

Unfortunately, at this time, these exams can only be taken by Canadians. While the process for foreign pilots is a little more complicated, it is still possible to get permission to fly if you follow the right steps.

The course objective is to provide the knowledge required to help RPAS students write the online Advanced Transport Canada exam.

This scalable program builds expertise from foundational piloting to advanced maneuvers. Ideal for professionals seeking career advancement, the course supports regulatory certification and delivers practical skills applicable across diverse industries.

Specialized SAR and Law Enforcement Programs – Starting at $1499

Radio Operator for BVLOS Mission Planning (JARUS SORA Level 1) – Starting at $899

This 8-hour in-class course trains Transport Canada Basic or Advanced Pilot Certificate holders as proficient radio operators for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. Focused on the JARUS Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) Level 1 framework, it covers radio communications, mission planning, and regulatory compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs Part IX), preparing professionals for safe and effective BVLOS missions.

Visual Observer for BVLOS Operations – Starting at $899

This 8-hour in-class course trains Transport Canada Advanced Certificate holders as Visual Observers for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, using the JARUS Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) Level 1 framework.
